Sponsor a Child To Stay in School!
This is our project, where we can start helping children in the area before our school project gets up and running. We have identified 84 children, some who are orphaned and some who only have one parent, in Khwisero, spanning two local schools that need our assistance to continue to stay in school.
We will be providing a school bag, school supplies, a school uniform on an annual basis, and shoes, again on an annual basis, and their school fees. For the female students that have entered puberty, we provide "Days for Girls" kits so they can not miss school. You can sponsor one child, two children, however many you can afford, and for these basics it is quite affordable.
Join us in making a direct impact in a child's life, by providing them with what they need to stay in school!

School Lunch Program for Emwaniro and Ekambuli Schools
The children attending these two schools attend classes from approximately 7:30 am to 7:00 pm or so, and don't have any meal during that entire school day. At one of the schools, we know that three quarters of the school children only drink water for lunch, and may only get one meal per day in the evening after school. Below are two videos, one from a representative from each school. The volume is a little low on these, so you will have to listen carefully and turn up the volume on your device to hear them, but both stress the needs that we are fulfilling through the sponsorship project, and the need for a meal during the school day.

Support Single Mothers and Orphan's Care Givers
As we have been engaged in Kenya, our goals have never been to foster dependence on us. We have always been thinking of ways where we help out with making the children and families that support these children self-sufficient.
With that ideal in mind, we are starting a program to help the care givers for our orphans become self sufficient in caring for the orphans and their own children. In our research with the local community we have discovered that goats and chickens are a big help in providing for food and extra income, that these families desperately need.
The costs are relatively low. Chickens cost $10 each, from local producers, and goats are $50 and $70 for a female and male respectively. For a total of $150 dollars we can provide a male and female goat and three chickens. These can be used for eggs, milk and meat for the family, and are inexpensive for them to raise and care for.
So, join us in helping these families become more self-sufficient!
