School Lunch Program for Emwaniro and Ekambuli Schools
The children attending these two schools attend classes from approximately 7:30 am to 7:00 pm or so, and don't have any meal during that entire school day. At both schools, we know that three quarters of the school children only drink water for lunch, and may only get one meal per day in the evening after school. Below are two videos, one from a representative from each school. The volume is a little low on these, so you will have to listen carefully and turn up the volume on your device to hear them, but both stress the needs that we are fulfilling through the sponsorship project, and the need for a meal during the school day.
The cost for this program is $4 per month per student, and we have some 3,100 students that are at both schools. That $4 will provide a nutritious lunch for each student for the entire year, and will pay for cooks to prepare those meals for each school. Of course, if you can do more than $4 per month, we give options for more, and we give options for quarterly and annual giving as well. With all the options, we also give you the chance to do whatever amount you want, either higher or lower than any of the options, so give as you are led to give, and no amount is too small. Even $1 per month, or per quarter or annually will help. No amount is too small.
